to clarify

someone wrote in a comment something to the effect that food in other countries always tastes better. i just needed to clarify: FOOD in russia does not taste better. certain items, like coke, fruit, and bread, are way better. but the meals that are prepared are most certainly not better, unless you think liver paste spread across a bowl of overcooked noodles is good stuff. or if you're really into giant orange fish eggs on buttered bread. or you like mystery meat floating in a mound of giggly murky gelatin. then i guess you could say, without trepidation, that the food is better. otherwise, stick with your american food, you wusses.
